The following is a message that I sent to the email address listed on Great Healthworks website after not being able to reach anyone in customer service:

After spending an hour of trying to speak with someone at your company to get a refund for the supplements that my father ordered and cancel the subscription that he didn't know he was agreeing to by making an initial order with your company, I called his credit card company to dispute your charges and block all future charges. I plan to submit a scammer complaint to the Better Business Bureau about your company.

This company is took advantage of my elderly father.

They are a deceptive and despicable business. Steer clear of this company.

I subscribed to your free trial, and was signed up for on-going orders. I called yesterday 6/13/17 and asked for a cancellation, which was denied.

I refuse to be bullied into purchasing anything; so I will be reporting your company to the FBI and and any local agency that handles scams. I will call again today 6/14/17. I am also going to all my credit card company and make them aware, that the only fee to be charged to my card is for the free trial.

If I do not get satisfaction from any of these actions, I will be contacting an attorney. Hopefully It will not come to this, but as I stated earlier I will not be bullied or scamed.

Hello everyone!

I currently sell this *** for Great Health Works as a "Virtual Contractor", which means I don't work for them as I'm just a Idependent Contractor, so not only do they screw customer but they screw us too. But on with the scam.

The training I received was pretty much push them to buy and DO NOT give the price until you've gotten the credit card number. See most of the Scamomercials don't actually give the price, so when a "mark" or customer calls, and says "how much is it?", I have to say "let me get your zipcode so I can look up the pricing in your area". Now, we all know what the dam price is and I'm not looking up anything, its a stall. So I now tell the customer that my pc is being slow or some *** like that and ask them "what benefits do you want to get from Omega XL?" or "How do you want Omega XL to change your life?".

This is where I'm supposed to tell them that they will definitely get relief from whatever they told me they were suffering from and that they can try it for 90 days with a money back guarantee. If the customer doesn't want to buy, I can then "FLEX" the price. This is funny, I tell the customer that I mite be able to convince my supervisor to drop the price from $49.95 to $39.95 and put them on hold for a few minutes. During this time, I'm not talking to anyone!

I work from home so, I usually go get a drink or use the bathroom but when I come back, I have great new mr.customer! My supervisor just authorized the price reduction for you. So many people fall for it:( I get so many calls from banks trying to cancel on behalf of a customer because the customer has been ineffective. I sell about $12,000 a month worth of this *** and I get 4% commission.

Your probably wondering how do I sleep at night? Well, its hard, I have a family and was laid off and this is what I ended up with for now. They pay $10 a hour and on nights and weekends its $15 or $20 a hour plus 4% commission. The actual Great Health Works employees are *** bags, they talk down to me and most of them can write a email without atleast 5-10 grammar mistakes.

I have a degree and I have to deal with these uneducated *** bags that are convinced they are changing the world. *** ***** is a doosh bag but a professional scammer and this product is doing exactly what it was designed to do and that's make money.

TO CANCEL AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK, CALL YOUR BANK AND REQUEST A CHARGE BACK:) They hate those! STAY THE *** AWAY FROM THESE *** and all the positive coments on here are Great Health Works employees, they have a team that posts rebutals to all negative coments on every complaint site....what a job that is:( and some of the rebutals are nasty so you can see what I have to deal with everyday.....hopefully god will send a new job my way soon:)

The product is very expensive compared to other products, see Costco for an example of a much cheaper product.

Yes, it is very hard to cancel, I just cancelled today.

The salesperson kept trying to get me to wait and extend. Had to be firm and say no. Now, I'll have to see how fast it takes to refund my money, most likely will just request a charge back if more than five days.

I understood there was no scientific research as most vitamin companies don't do the research.

Yea it may help some people who don't eat right or take vitamins.

I do both so the product did zilch for me.

it works! for those that are complaining about a price i don't see yall complaining when the doctor prescribe you this medicine but you may have side effects with something else then they prescribe you something else to counteract the side effects of the initial drug prescribed! I currently work for the company and they are not bad as you guys make it seem!

look at sprint, they say they offer faster service but once you're with them you have *** service a high phone bill and it cost $350 to cancel early because the service doesn't work! oh well maybe if you all invested properly and saved properly paying for a supplement without side effects wouldn't be any of you all worries

I called and cancel any further product. To date, I have received 5 bottles. Every month I call and cancel.

I have spoken to my credit card company and they are going to act on my behalf. Buyer beware.

Not sure how long ago this was posted but I am also a Virtual Contractor for OXL and that is not at all how I was trained! I was trained to tell them "I will be glad to look that info up for you and while I do that, let me ask what benefits are you looking to get from using OXL?" When they answer, we then reiterated the success rate and value of the product and immediately give the price promotion at that time.

Only after the customer decides to proceed with the order we continue. FIRST we get the address, then the phone number, name AND THEN we get the payment info.

This company also provides its contractors with the product each month FOR FREE as well so that we can take it for ourselves and know firsthand the value and benefits of what we are selling. I appreciated OXL and it has been a blessing for me.

There are pros and *** with snything we invest in these days! All I know personally, is that my wife has used this product, and it has produced good results!

She really likes it! She has lupus, and is often in alot of pain and discomfort. Omega XL seems to soften the blow on that. Just really expensive for the real deal!

Maybe thst is the issue oeople are having.. A sideline product that tries to meet the qualifications of the original supplement.

As a senior on a very small fixed income I am genuinely grateful for the employees and customers who commented exposing the OmegaXL Company’s unethical methods and the high pressure techniques used to rip off seniors. I won’t be calling to order OmegaXL even if the product is genuine and does what is claimed.

The company’s methods are reprehensible. Like many products it is just too expensive for the intended demographic—seniors! If a high priced remedy is not covered by Medicare we can’t afford it! Also, I have no credit cards and I pay for mail orders only with Money Orders.

I assume this company would be like a couple of others I have encountered that refuse to sell the product by Money Order. Those companies demanded a card number to process the order and refused to give a mailing address to which to send a Money Order! Since I do not buy anything by mail unless I can pay by paper Money Order, I never order a product that does not have a snail mail address to which to send the payment!

Larry King is a paid spokesman reading a script! He probably knows nothing about the telemarketing methods the company uses.

And, no, he probably does not care. If OmegaXL works for him personally he has enough money to buy it. He probably gets it free from the company as part of his fee. Plus it could actually do what is advertised for people who have enough money to afford the price for the necessary effective dosages.

That financially struggling Americans can’t afford it does not mean that it does not work in the larger and more expensive dosages needed to be effective! Also, manufacturers seldom employ the telephone sales people. Telemarketers are independent companies that the manufacturers contract to handle their telephone sales! Individual telephone workers are “independent contractors” hired by the telemarketing company, not by the manufacturer, although if they work from home they may not know that.

BUT The problem is that OmegaXL is too expensive and that the telemarketing company is using unethical methods to foist it off on people who cannot afford it!

That is too bad, because I was attracted by the source of the Omega 3’s being from farmed Green Lipped Mussels from New Zealand instead of from the general “fish oil” sources [used by other manufacturers of Omega 3 supplements] from unknown fish from unsustainably overfished stocks! Those fishing methods also cause the horrific by-catch of endangered species and marine mammals dragged up in the nets! So regular sources of Omega 3’s are from offensive fishing methods!!! As an environmentalist I had hoped OmegaXL was affordable to avoid fish oil sources, but it is not, and that is too bad!!

NOW I have something to say to all of you who commented; but especially to commenters “NINI” of 10/26/13, “GPM” of 8/14/13”, and “GHW Worst Nightmare, Sep 10, 2013 Fort Lauderdale, Florida”.

The last paragraph is specifically to “Anonymous 7/28/13 from Brampton, Ontario”.

To those commenters who falsely believe it is ONLY the “message” that counts and not the grammar used in the message: You cannot communicate a message accurately or intelligently, so that it will be understood by the reader, without correct grammar. The worse the grammar, the less effectively the message can be understood!!! While there are minor grammatical errors commonly made by almost everyone [and I have probably made some in this comment], the errors in many of the comments were so overwhelmingly atrocious they twisted the “messages” intended by the writers into nonsense at best, or into saying the opposite of what they intended!

I am compelled to critique the very poor, in fact APPALLING, English grammar education (or lack thereof) exposed by most of the writers! The writing by the majority of both employees and users who made comments is atrocious! It was a SICKENING experience reading, I should say deciphering, their badly worded comments!!! Their grammar is worse than an elementary school dropout’s!

In fact, judging from their writing skills they NEVER went to school at all!!! One person kept writing the “most I honest organization in existence” which does NOT make any kind of sense with the personal pronoun “I” interjected between “most” and “honest”!!!!!! From his critique he probably intended to state that it was the most DISHONEST company in existence, not the “most honest” which is what he ACTUALLY said (after removing the meaningless and useless “I” from his sentence!) WAS that ignoramus’ statement, “most I honest organization in existence” the result of texting??? Texting is without doubt the WORST method of human communication ever invented!!!!!

“Texters” [is that the word for people who “text”] apparently use ridiculous and nonsensical abbreviations that are not legitimate abbreviations for anything! “Texters” don’t care at all for correct spelling!! Texting is creating, no has created, a generation of people who CANNOT communicate intelligently in writing!!!! A generation, or maybe two generations, of grammatical ignoramuses!!!

Does that person really think he was writing an intelligent and intelligible statement??? And what is with the *** looking cartoons flashing at the end of some comments? Are they supposed to convey a “message”??? If so, they conveyed NO “message” to me!!!!

They are meaningless and *** “symbols” of nothing at all!!! I know people under 35 or 40 are incapable of speaking intelligently if they have not mastered in college level English AND public speaking courses!!! Verbal communication in America has been in the sewer since the 70’s if not earlier!!! An old episode of Leave It To Beaver gave an example between teens’ slang and their writing abilities.

A new teacher gave Wally’s “A” paper an “F” because he assumed Wally had cheated. The reason he thought Wally cheated? Wally’s slang was so very different from the well written composition he turned in. That’s an example of the difference between spoken and written English in that day.

Wally explained he would never put in writing the slang that he used talking to his friends. But that was the 1960’s. Kids back then were being taught correct grammar in school, and tested regularly on that grammar, regardless of the slang they used with each other or at home. AND there was, Thank God, NO “texting”!!!!!

Obviously from the egregious errors and nonsensical phrases and abbreviations in the comments listed here, the writers’ [lack of] writing skills are worse than their [lack of] speaking skills!!! Is the overwhelming ignorance exposed in their comments due to some sort of “texting language” used by the younger generations, which is NOT understood by people who never “text” on cell phones? Obviously a lot of customers for OmegaXL are not seniors, but younger people who cannot write at all and only “text” their so-called communications!! I cannot believe many of those atrociously worded comments were written by seniors!!!

Is the ignorance the result of “English as a second language”, where foreigners are allowed to get away with writing nonsensical and atrocious grammatical errors because it is not their native language? Either excuse for egregiously unintelligent grammatical errors in writing is unforgivable! Is some of the nonsense in the comments the result of depending on spell check? Never depend on spell check!

Go to a book store and buy a big heavy book that is called a dictionary!!! I do not mean go to an Internet “dictionary”! I mean get the BOOK with pages you have to turn by hand!!! Also buy the book Grammar Made Easy, which is written specifically for working adults with poor grammar skills to help them correct their most egregious grammatical errors, both in speaking and in writing.

People today are incapable of communicating intelligently in writing! [They cannot speak intelligently either!] I am proud to say I have never texted on a telephone, and never will!!! I use a PC for written messages and the telephone for verbal communications only! Texting is ruining the English language and should be eliminated from daily use!!!!!

Texting should be for emergencies only, used as one would use 911, for emergencies not regular communications!!!! By the way, I am not a retired English teacher! I am “only” a high school graduate whose English grammar grades were C or C+ at best in the 1960’s! Aren’t you people ASHAMED that your writing is SO very BAD that a person who was a mere “C” high school student can find fault with it!!

That includes you college grads too!!! But I came from a generation where high school graduates left school with much better educations than today’s college grads!!! In my day a high school student could not graduate without being able to communicate in writing clearly and grammatically!!! During my 44 working years I was frequently correcting the written grammar of employers who were college graduates!

Over the years my bosses got much younger than I! Many of those much younger college educated bosses could not write an intelligent sentence! Some could not even write cursive script, they could only print!!! Shocking!!!!

They had never learned cursive!!!! They printed their so-called signatures!!! Printed, NOT written!!! Even before texting, each successive generation’s ability to communicate intelligently in writing and in speaking, has deteriorated to the level that is so bad, that I am daily finding fault with TV news people when they phrase something badly!!!

I agree with the writer 100%, because I worked with Omega xl in the same capacity.

You have to take 6 omega xl three times a day to get the true effect of it. The bottle contains 60 caps and cost 49.95 plus shipping and handling.

I DO NOT WORK WITH SEVEN SEAS. Seven Seas cod liver oil with omega 3, EPA AND DHA same content as omega xl, cost $40.00 a bottle on Amazon.com. The bottle contains 500 caps and you only need to take 1 per day. It has no fishy taste and do exactly what omega xl does.

$40.00 (500 caps) take one a day compare to $59.90 (60 caps) take 6 per day. I started taking omegal xl and the second day of taking it, I started repeating the fishy taste. Seven Seas has been on the market since my mother was a little child - she is 90 yrs old. My mother grew up on Seven Seas cold oil.

Omega xl has been in research for 30 years. They never tell you how long it has been on the sale.

I've been working for this company since August and it's a just heavy on the heart to know that you are screwing over the customers. Most ppl are on fixed incomes and are completely broke and this product is not cheap plus they force a autoship on the customers NO MATTER What.

I customers screaming and complaining about the bottles that they told the company not to send but of course once they have your card or bank info your in for a world of hurt. The bottles are coming and you will never get back that 90 MMG. It's a complete scam and it sucks that ppl can get rich of things like this and it's legal. The seniors are getting screwed over and bank accounts are getting overdrawn trust me.

All the Team Leaders email us independent contractors 40x a day about nothing, pressing you for numbers claiming they care which they don't.

If they cared they would sell this product without and autoship as well as tell the price on the infomercial. Stay away unless you have the money to pay $100 a month for something that may or may not work.

I just spent 58 minutes on hold waiting to talk to a rep about cancelling this service. This is the second time I have tried to cancel but after 4 months the product started coming again.

This time I listened carefully when the lady said, 'OK we will cancel this service for now and (in a very quiet voice) "we will start again in April" I told her no starting it again and I wanted my money back. She then went on to tell me about another new product they have. I said NO I want my money back. She said she couldn't do that because it wasn't with in the 90 days.

I just called my bank and had them do a charge back. Very bad people!!!

To anyone trying to purchase omega xl, everything that was stated from the current employee is true, I have made lots of money for this company and then been with them almost two years, and they up and terminate me out the blue with no real explanation, not only do they not cancel memberships after customer receives omega xl, they do everything they can to continue to charge the customers credit card, I have felt bad about this during my time of working with them, and having customers calling and complaining about not being able to cancel, and I started to realize, its all about money with this company, and they are full of it, I feel its a blessing in disguise to not have to go along with this charade any longer, stay away from Omega Xl, this is the worst company ever.

my apologies to the person posting that this is a scam - i accidently rated his post *** when i meant to say the COMPANY is *** my 88 yr old friend just got scammed by this company - and to add insult to injury, the company included a "free" magazine that, if not cancelled by a certain date, would automatically become a subscription. the cancellation date was the day prior to the arrival of the package of omegaxl.

everything the employee wrote is absolutely true - no price was ever revealed NOR did the company rep reveal that these worthless pills (filled with olive oil) would be shipped every three months and auto billed.

a complaint has now been filed for my friend with the BBB (along with 146+ other complaints) about the unscrupulous tactics used to rip off seniors in pain.

i just hope the sales rep finds another job - walmarts or macdonalds would be preferable to stealing from those most vulnerable!

As far as for the magazines you automatically obtain I. Your first order mostly contains literature about breast augmentation and beauty.

Vaguely do it speak of nutrition, question is why would you send some sort of literature like that to a senior citizen? That really baffles me and it was the most uncomfortable and uneasy portion of my tenure there. Worse part is if you don't make a Dave offer the qa department will score you as a zero.

It is funny how I got here to this page... I was on google looking for the page because I was going to re-order online because i do not have time to call and I see all of this.

Well, I have been on the product for a year and two months and the product works for my Ostheochondritis which is a rare form of arthritis in my right knee. Also last year was diagnosed with heart murmur and I take the product and will keep taking the product. Before you listen to a sour employee who was probably fired for whatever reason do your research.

I care about my health so I have read about omega 3's and this product I chose over lovasa which is a popular product I guess and that is what my doctor prescribed.

I do not know what is going on with the guy who wrote that long post but that is one pissed ex employee. Find another job and move on dude!

I accidentally clicked "***" when reading this review, not really understanding what the categories are for (also, you can't select a different one if you make a mistake).

But this review is SPOT ON.

I was a Virtual Counselor up until last November, and my experience was exactly the same. I was told to do all the same things by my own supervisor (don't give the price away immediately, put the customer on hold to pretend like you're talking to your supervisor, "flex" so you can offer a better price, etc.) The only difference is the supervisors I worked with were very nice.

But yeah, Virtual Contractors are paid to spew BS,and they get in trouble if they don't follow the script described in this review.

Be wary!
